During the monitoring, we inspect the machine logs, apply OS and application patches, and address any warnings the logs may contain. This allows us to take a proactive approach to situations which may be arising; in turn, the proactive approach usually can be resolved quickly without downtime. On the other hand, if regular maintenance is not performed, we would never see preliminary warnings which can turn critical and cause a system failure which can take hours or days to rectify leaving your staff without access to systems they may rely on to perform their duties.

Ques: Will a larger hard drive make my system work faster?
Ans: As a general rule the answer is no. If your system is relatively new, you probably already have a drive that operates at 7,200rpm. 10,000 and 15,000 rpm drives exist as well as SSD drives, however, they are more expensive and will not significantly increase the performance of a system. RAM ("Random Access Memory") is what increases system performance. The more memory you have the better a system performs and the more applications you can keep open simultaneously.

Ques: Does my Anti Virus software keep me protected?
Ans: Generally speaking the answer is yes. However, you should perform a manual check to ensure that the virus definitions are current at least once a week. While Anti Virus products perform an automatic update, things can happen which prevent them from downloading the most recent virus definitions leaving you exposed to new threats.
